Indian Union Budget 2012


With the end of Financila year approaching in March, Government is gearing up to present the Union Budget 2012-13 in March 2012. This budget will be very crucial for the UPA Government, as there had been issues during the year in the country and growth rate too.

With the end of Financila year approaching in March, Government is gearing up to present the Union Budget 2012-13 in March 2012. This budget will be very crucial for the UPA Government, as there had been issues during the year in the country and growth rate too.

The year 2011-12 had been a very bad year for the UPA Government, with many scams, political issues, internal party issues, Inflation at all time high, Prices were not controllable, decrease in growth of industry, GDP growth to decline as per targetted by the Government.

Pranab Mukherjee Finance Minister is gearing to present the Union Budget on March 16 to the country. Every corporate, industry and citizens are keeping an eye on what will Pranab Mukherjee present and give to the country.

With the GDP growth to be decline from 8-9% to 6-7% and the same with the industry and other sector slowdown. However, one good news for Pranab Mukherjee is there is decline in inflation and prices have started to go down for essential commodities except the petrol and diesel prices.

With 2012-13 being the year to implement Direct Tax Code across the country, we may see some relief from the Minsitry by increase in the tax slab.

Budget session will begin from March 12 after President Partibha Patil welcome speech in the House.

March 14 - Railway Budget
March 16 - Union Budget 2012-13.

The house will commence till March 30 and reopen on April 24 to May 22.

The reason for the delay of Budget is due to the election going in 5 states across the country.
